Well the owners manual is no help as apparently ducati thinks you should have chain tension adjusted by an authorised dealer. Does anyone know what torque for the rear wheel nut?

I could be wrong but the only reference to it I could find was "around 150 ft lb (to be confirmed)". I was hoping for a more definite answer.

Was told it was 105 ft lb but this is the only torque figure I have.  We need a full list of torques listed on here !
Full of enthusiasm - in all the wrong places

:431:I Checked with my Dealer here in Canberra today and they said 180nm. Pretty close to thenozzle's answer.  Shame my torque wrench go that high.

I can't believe the amount of confusion and the number of differing (by a lot) figures that are given out on what is a very basic number known by Ducati   :027:

The number I've seen most often, and was also quoted to me by the mechanic at Ducati Manchester, is 156Nm or 115lbft. That's what I used and I did have to buy the next larger torque wrench too  :006: .

Whatever you do don't use the +200Nm figure which is for the single sided MTS1200 swingarm, that's really unnecessary.
Anything more than two wheels is unnecessary.

Thanks Conman.  Just adds to my confusion.  If the dealer i bought my bike of says 180nm and I use a different figure and something goes wrong they'll blame me.  Are there any Ducati officials watching this forum that can definitively give us an answer on this and for that matter a full set of torque setting which someone else suggested this forum needs.

It's bonkers really and I could get quite angry about this  :013:

I'm not far off needing a new set of tyres. So that means axle nut, pinch bolts and caliper bolts torque settings plus tightening sequence and etc's. My last bike (a BMW) had all this in the manual so why not in the Ducati manual it's pretty basic stuff  :211: That's bad enough but to get different values depending of which Ducati mechanic you speak to is very poor  :151:
