down the road today !

My day started well with being wiped out on a roundabout by a woman who decided last minute to change direction in front of me instead of exiting . Pannier, handlebar and fairings took the brunt of the damage - engine casing not damaged at all . Just to mention that I called Ducati Assist and within about an hour the AA arrived and transported the bike to the Bristol Ducati dealer  - quite impressed . The irony is that I was booked to have crash bars fitted next week !

Oh man, that is horrible news, sorry to hear it. But, you've not mentioned yourself so I hope that you are ok. Bikes are only metal and plastic and can made better a whole lot easier and quicker than the human body. The important thing is that you're not injured. Bloody cage drivers, in their own little worlds.

So sorry to hear this news buzzardbilly. Really hope you are ok and get your bike repaired and get back on the road asap.
Sometimes you need a really crooked road to get your head straight

Thanks guys - yes I'm fine apart from a few bruises  - luckily I slid and did not hit anything solid . It will be interesting to see what the bits add up to for the repairs quote - at Ducati spares pricing I expect it will be quite a chunk

Thanks all for your comments . My main concern (apart from having a sore arse that feels like having been to  a Michael Barrymore weekend party !) is getting the bike repaired in time to go on a  trip I have booked to Spain & Portugal at the end of September  - just hoping that Ducati have the spares back up for this new type
