heated gloves

hi guys I was wondering if anyone has heated gloves and if so what type are you using and can you give me your honest impression with them

Hi Darsey. I've been using Gerbing heated gloves for the last 3 years on a number of different bikes (and ofcourse now the MS950). I wouldn't be without them. In my opinion so much better than heated grips. I've got the Gerbing jacket too for when it really gets cold.

Just reading this post and looking at the photo in the attached link....where do they plug into. Does it use the type of plug the same as an optimate trickle charger?
Also how long are the cables? Do they restrict movement such as lifting a visor etc.
Because DUCATI have led us down not having heated grips available I may be investing in some too.

Thanks Wassers, I have had heated grips on the last couple of bikes that I have had but I am now considering the gloves. At least whenever the bike is sold I will still have the gloves. Can I ask you this. For example if I normally wear a large glove will I order the large one or do I need to go up a size. I do have warm and safe heated jacket and pants with remote troller, so I will be able to plug the gloves into the jacket as I ride all year.

Hi Dave. Theses are hybrid gloves, you can use batteries (which I don't) and they are located in the gloves. They do come with a battery harness cable that you attach to the bikes battery terminals and get power from the bike which is excellent. You can feed the cables from the gloves thru your jacket and plug it into the cable attached to the bike. There is no restriction and you won't even notice the cables. My cable from the bikes battery feeds in just under the seat. Have a look at the gerbing website that probably explains it better than I can. I couldn't live without them, there are brilliant, and as a bonus, they are waterproof too.

Did you like them and have you bought them?

I got rained on riding home from work today  , so was glad to be wearing my waterproof gerbing gloves.

i haven't got around to buying them yet Wassers as the weather is so wet over here i havn't been out other that yesterday and over here yesterday was like a summers day, but whenever the bright frosty days come i will need them. I find that the hand guard do a reasonable good job at keeping the chill off.
