Hello from the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains - California!

    Hi all!

After many years of having Triumphs, I have made the switch to Ducati. Always loved them (the noise) but never wanted or needed a Sports bike. With the Multi it is absolutely what I was looking for and went for a 950! While I would love the 1200, I simply cannot justify the $23k price tag for something that I will commute on and leave in various car parks around the USA! Ok, so the 950 is hardly cheap, but its a lot more justifiable!

Anyway, need to stop justifying my purchase and get out riding more! Located in the Sierra Nevada foothills in Sunny California. Great area, fantastic roads and easy access to so many other places. I will admit to being a Brit who relocated to the US and love it here - though a lot has to do with the weather! Its funny, local bikers talk about a 'riding season' here but it doesnt rain for 9 months of the year! Try England....

A few details on the bike - Red, just under 1000 miles now (first service done) and a few accessories - top box, side cases (still on order) and center stand. Fully expect to use this for longer trips and need the luggage! Currently in the process of figuring out the best GPS mount, unit and wiring options....

:400: Hi, and welcome to the world of MTS 950 ownership. An excellent choice of bike (and colour). I'm loving mine - like you it's my first Ducati.

You'll find discussion threads on GPS mounts; the wiring is easy since Ducati thoughtfully provides a plug which is easily accessible. You'll find a video showing it somewhere on the forum.

One of my son's is a relocated Brit in California also. He lives down on the coast in Santa Barbara.

    Enjoy your new ride  :002:

Welcome and enjoy you’re recent purchase. I was tempted by the 1200 too. Decided on the 950, my second Ducati. Love it so far. A few options on GPS fitting, above clocks, below clocks etc. As mentioned, wiring is sorted via the connector already on the bike.
