Smartphone holder for Ducati GPS Mount

I purchased the original Ducati GPS Mount, which I like a lot as it sits high above the instrument panel in the line of sight. However, instead of mounting a Garmin GPS unit, I would like to mount my smartphone (iPhone 7+). Can anyone recommend a good holder that can be mounted directly onto the AMPS based (4 screws) of the Ducati GPS mount?

Interesting idea. I already have the original Ducati GPS mount (picture), though, and am looking for a phone holder that I can attach directly to it (4 screws, AMPS base).

    Hi Beermuggle,

Have you managed to fit the phone to the GPS holder? If yes, some photos would be great. I have in mind the same configuration for me, maybe Ducati or Emgimoto holder with Quad Lock system for iphone.
I know it's an old topic, but could help others :002:

If you're using quad lock you could get the mirror clamp and use with a GIVI/KAPPA high bar.

Yes, I have already thought about that. It is a nice setup also for taking into consideration.

I want to keep the phone on top of the dash on a gps holder because in the future maybe I will buy a proper gps.

Here is what I added to the Standard Ducati mount to make it work for my iPhone 8:
    - RAM Mount X-Grip IV Large Phone Cradle B-Ball 1 inch. USD 28.99 at Amazon
    - ChargerCity 25mm/1" inch Ball socklet to AMPs connection adapter. USD 9.95 at Amazon
    - Eriding Dual USB Charger Power Adapter with for BMW Powerlet Din Hella Socket Plug 30CM. USD 17.80 at Amazon
    - A lighting cable
=> The result is a mount for the iphone that allow me to run Waze for Motorbikes, which I love. The phone fits under the windscreen and moves up and down with the windscreen. I attached a few screenshots.

    Hi Julian,
The Ducati holder does not vibrate - I know it is hard to believe considering how tall it is - but I can read the text on the map while riding without problem. After a year and 5000 miles nothing came loose or started to shake.

Sounds better than Engimoto that vibrates a bit of what I've heard.
    Thank you for the info!
