    Be careful out there

    Hi all,

Well I had a very freaky incident this week on my Multi.

Was riding into work as usual very early on Monday morning (in the dark) and within 5 minutes of leaving the house picked up some debris from the road (I didn't see it) which wrapped round my rear wheel, smashed the number plate and brackets to pieces, including one of the indicators and get this.....forced the chain completely off!  :087: It didn't snap, but it was completely off the cogs. 30 years of biking and I've never had this happen before. I can however consider myself extremely lucky that it didn't spit me of the bike. I was doing about 40 mph at the time.

Anyways, a big shout out to the gents @ Ducati WM Snells in Acton who have repaired my Multi in super quick time and I should be back on the road on Friday.

So the message is, if you are riding in the dark.... be careful out there!

Main thing is that you are OK Wassers  - sounds like it could easily have turned out differently . Great that they are getting you back on the road so quickly

A chain on the loose can easily end in disaster.  Glad you came through without a major issue.

Thanks all for your kind messages. I do consider myself lucky this didn't end up a lot worse!

Anyway, the good news is I got my Multi back today... all looking good as new.

Perhaps I should start eating more carrots to improve my night vision  :008:
