Hi guys, my name is Pedro I'm from Portugal, 44 year old. Like anything that have horsepower to put a smile on my face

Started with a Honda CB 500, then a Honda Hornet 600, then a Honda CBR 600F, than a GSXR1000 k3, than a Yamaha Fazer 600 in parallel with the GSXR and a Yamaha WR450.

done 6 years of trackdays, when i get to the limits of the bike, I sold the GSXR and the Fazer 600 and bought a DUCATI MTS 950

So that's a brief of my motorcycle life, hope to be here riding for may year to come.

:400: Hi, and welcome to the forum. Hope you enjoy your new ride. I went touring in Portugal earlier in the year....a beautiful country, especially the central part. Great riding roads, fabulous scenery and very little traffic about. Will go back again sometime.

Yes, Portugal is in fact a beautiful country, lots of twisted road specially from river "Tejo" to north.

If you come to Portugal, there is a village called "Piodão" that have a place to stay called "Casa da Padaria" very cozy, cheap prices, nice rooms and large beds with a good mattress, with a nice WC and with a typical breakfast served in the common dinner room. is a rural tourism house !!

I was there about 3 year ago and I was dazzled. that is the one of the many beautiful regions of Portugal, whit lot of twisted roads (good tarmac and also off-roads).

These year, specially, is not so pretty, because of the extensive fire forest, this year it was a tragedy, but nature know how to survive.

If you like good food, good wine, good prices, good landscapes, twisted roads, come here and you will enjoy for sure.  :038: :038: :038:

Don't come in July and August because temperature is always above 32 to 42 degrees, and is not good to enjoy the ride (I hate high temps) May, June, September, and the first week of October, for me are the best months.
February is a beet cold but it is mostly sunny, March it could be good, but depends year to year.

    nice ride guys

I was there 9-20 April and it was beautiful with daytime temp. 20-25°C......perfect riding weather. I've taken note of your recommended place to stay, might come in useful as I intend going back to that region.
