    Headlight beam adjustment

    Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone has done this - The clocks have just gone back in the UK, so I took my new 950 out in the dark for the first time tonight, only to find that both the high and low beams are set way too high.  I've looked through the owners manual and it looks simple enough to adjust, until I attempt to access the adjustment screws on the bike - couldn't get to them!  Anyone know if I need to remove fairing parts first etc?  Very frustrating and instructions are poor.
    Thanks in advance.
    regards
    Tim

    Hi Redzob.
I had mine adjusted by my dealer following my trip to Spain in June.
I left the house for the 1st time in the dark and all I got was everyone flashing me. Including abroad so was very frustrating. I never knew they were so high. I've never tried adjusting myself. They are still high but not as bad.
My dealer tried to talk their way out of it saying because it's such a tall bike then it's normal to look bright. I disagree with that comment.
I'll be interested to see any advice you receive.

I'm finding I'm getting flashed as well.  I'll be fitting the spotlights shortly so I'll see if I can reach the adjustment.

For info I have spots fitted and never had a single car flash me whilst riding in the dark, so I've been lucky and the headlight height must have been perfect, straight out of the crate.
Sometimes you need a really crooked road to get your head straight

I'm having an issue working out how to adjust headlights on my 2017 950.

I'm sure I read an article saying the manual showed the diagram for bikes with LEDs pre-installed.

Anyway, here's a photo of what I see (this is the RHS)

The lower right screw near the dipped beam bulb is defintely not used for adjustment.

Photo doesn't match the illustration in the manual

The illustration looks exactly like the one for my 950S. I've checked now the manual for the 2017 950 and it's exactly the same... :084:

I've had mine adjusted buy the dealer and charged for it. It's been said most if not all 950 headlights came out of manufacturing with headlight settings wrong.
The the dip headlights are adjustable buy turning handlebars fully one way or the other. The full beam headlight adjustment screw is located behind a the frame part holding the coolant and front faring which must only be adjusted buy using a right angle screwdriver. It's a joke

2020 950s has same assembly as ms 1260. THE 950s MANUAL IS DEAD WRONG. Good news is once you know its very easy. remove small panel between fork legs , look up and in the dead middle of assembly there is an m8 screw. thats the adjustment screw. no right and left and no high beam adjustment. if questions look at 1260 manual.

I just had first service on my 19 950s done and there was a recall to the headlight adjustment.
