    Comfort Seat Reviews
    on: November 15, 2017, 11:09:43 am

Hi Guys, I'm finding the stock seat very stiff and uncomfortable for me so I'm considering the comfort seat now.

For those who purchased it, what are your thoughts so far? I'm 6' and my feet aren't flat footed on the ground, is it worse with the comfort seat or still manageable? How's the comfort on long trips or many hours in the saddle?  Do you feel it was worth the investment? Any thoughts would be helpful and appreciated

Thanks a lot for your help guys

I'm 6ft and found the standard seat uncomfortable after around 40 minutes or so mostly because of my knees, the pegs are too high so opted for the comfort seat.  Personally I find it an improvement in both comfort for my backside but mostly for the knees.
You sit taller however and are more susceptible to wind buffeting and of course if you're short in the leg will be tip-toeing.
I've popped a couple of pics under the accessories threads.
Overall for the increase in comfort for me makes it a worthy investment.

Hi Subtle, Thanks a lot for your reply, you answered my concerns... I will invest in the comfort seat, it seems really worth it for the overall comfort.

I'm also thinking to invest in the Touring windscreen to reduce the buffeting

Did you try putting a 20mm space at the bottom of the orginal screen. I have a space in mine and it made such a difference that I have no intention of getting an aftermarket screen. You just need to get a longer 6mm bolt and see if it works for you.

Hi Darsey. I still haven't found a 6mm bolt to suit original or will look similar.
Can you advise best place to buy? I'm still not impressed with the turbulence and noise from the standard screen and the ducati touring screen is only marginally better.

I went for the Givi Windscreen
    https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/givi-d7406st-windscreen-ducati-multistrada-1200-2015-2016

Waiting for it to arrive.. I was comparing between the Givi and Puig Touring Screen
    https://puig.tv/en/tuning-motos/windscreens-for-fairing-bikes/touring-screen

They both seem good.. I had a Givi screen in the past and was happy with it, I also have a Givi Wind-Deflector so I thought to just go with Givi and give it a try.. It is 3 cm shorter than the Puig but the Givi is Wider .. So I thought I can add the deflector if needed

Hi Dave, I just got a 50mm bolt that was lying about in my garage, took the rubber bung out of the bottom hole of the screen, put a couple of rubber washers that came for roof cladding and tightened it up just to see how it worked. I havn't got around to changing it but it works fine for me.

I find the comfort seat a much improved seat over the standard one but in the end I find both stiff and after long rides I already moving around to find comfort. I’m also 6’ tall. I hope they make more after market seats for this bike to have more options.

I purchased the comfort seat, waiting for it to arrive, I guess any improvement is better.. I hope they come up with more options too

Another option is padded Underwear for those long trips like this one
