Generally once it gets below 8C I put the grips on Low. If it drops below 3C especially if I'm going down the motorway I have them on Med. Only once (I ride just about every day), when it was below zero and I had a motorway blast to do I had them on Max.
They're not the best heated grips because they seem to give the heat very patchily and I find they're very hot in parts. Mind you BMW's weren't much better - you can't beat Oxfords in my experience.
So in summary I think they get plenty hot enough.
Are you leaving enough time for them to warm up - 10 minutes at least? Are your gloves too thick - winter gloves are not very good with heated grips in my experience?   :084:
Anything more than two wheels is unnecessary.

    Thanks.

I was on a blast around the lakes at the weekend over 200 miles. My hands where not great and the gloves I have are not that think tbh.

I have a 950. When I got off and washed my bike off with no gloves on compared to my mates 2 GS’s they were tepid at best.  I’ll get Ducati to check them out.  Oh and that was on max all the way. They had theirs on medium. Without gloves you couldn’t touch em.

How can you have heated grips when they are still officially not available from Ducati for the 950  MTS  😕

Dave G, you must be wrong mate as I bought the bike through Manchester Ducati with them fitted. Also been into the dealer in Bristol as Im here on work today and they didn't mention that they are not an option just to get the technician to check them out!!  Oh and the are controlled through MTS menu!!!!!  definitely factory/Ducati fit!!!

They became available in early November if I remember correctly. They seem to work well enough; I have ridden for a few hours in 2-3C and hands have not suffered frostbite! However, I don't think they give out as much heat as the Oxford grips I fitted on my Pan. Mind you, the wind protection on that is in a different league to the MTS.
