Center stand - removal for oil change?

    Hello,

I just ordered an oem center stand but have yet to install. I recently saw somewhere that if you have a skid plate mounted the center stand will need to be removed to change the oil. Is this true? My guess is the same would hold true for an aftermarket stand. Shouldn’t be a big deal due to the service intervals, just kind of a pain.

    Thanks

I have the OEM center stand but I do not have a metal skid plate but since onone else has ansered I'll give a try. I think that any skip plate would mount to the same points as the plastic OEM cover which does have to come off for oil change. But I don't see how the center stand would be in the way since it is so far back. Hope that helps.
