    Heated Grips

I enquired about heated grips yesterday and was told they are not an option yet if you order a 950 now, but they will become available soon. They said they cost £220 on the 1200 Multi, so they are likely to be about the same price. Dealer said when they do become available they can fit them. Hope this is useful info for anyone considering heated grips.

That's good to know and something I might think about. Strangely enough despite living up north and over the "border" where it gets a little chilly at times (understatement), I've never had them on a bike before. The irony is that I have a heated steering wheel in the car  :138:

Not so here in Canada. Heated grips are included with the touring pack. $1040 Cdn. + 12% tax for the touring pack.

Deuce - we don't mind you having heated grips included in the touring pack in Canada  :038:... something tells me you are going to need them more than us in the UK  :190:

They come as standard equipment on BMW's sold here also. Been like that for years. I won't buy a bike without heated grips and ABS. Aftermarket heated grips are vastly superior now then when they first came out.

The weather here on Vancouver Island is very temperate. We usually only get 50% of the rain that Vancouver gets in the winter months. Summer weather starts in early April to late October.

According to the owner's manual, heated grips can be controlled from the switch cluster, so there's no need to install an additional switch.  That's a nice feature.  That just makes me wonder if they will be the same grips as the MTS 1200 or the Hyperstrada.  Whatever the answer, I hope they're available soon.  It's sunny by 28 degress outside today :)
