I know all the good reasons for removing the cat, but in my mind it would be a totally unethical thing to do. Catalytic converters are there for a reason; to cut down on the amount of crap we pump into the atmosphere. I wouldn’t dream of removing it.

Try taking out the exhaust damper. I think you can just unhook the control cable and the damper will spring to the open position. You'll get the engine fault light on your display but you can ignore that.
It shouldn't make any difference to the performance (very very minor if it does) but might improve the noise. If you want to keep it like that you'll have to get a device to fool the ECU so the light goes off, Google is your friend in that case.
Anything more than two wheels is unnecessary.

Removing the cat will mean having to retune the entire bike! And if stopped in Germany because you are too loud, you could end up with your bike impounded.

Personally I cant see why anyone would want to decat? its there for a reason and removing it is pretty irresponsible!

I agree at some points but the bike becomes faster and the sound is much better...

By better you mean louder and thats why so many of the good routes/roads in Europe are banning motorbikes on the weekends! Especially in Bavaria, Austria and South Tirol.

The standard exhaust is quiet while going through a town or village but open it up above 5k the sound is amazing.  :028:

I can't stand really loud bikes like Harleys it just pisses people off.  :232:

I agree Murf - the standard exhaust gives you the best of both worlds. Quiet when you need it to be and "OMG that awesome howl" when you give it the full beans  :169:  BBRAAAAAAP :007:
Sometimes you need a really crooked road to get your head straight
