Black bikes are not my thing nowadays - lower visibility to other road users when many of them drive around with their eyes seemingly shut anyway. Back in the day I loved my black Norton Commando, but that was then!

Bit of a SuperMoto vibe going on I think. Not sure  :021:

I quite like the black paint job, sometime ago I thought of vinyl wrapping mine in black but it would too much hassle to then change the documents and it would be bad for visibility as neilb said.

neilb, I know what the seemingly shut eyes are looking at - the bloody phone. when I'm commuting it drives me nuts how many people are either calling or texting on the road. Often I can even tell from the distance just from the way the car is moving around. But I just ordered a Denali Soundbomb so I'll keep those  :172: in check from now on  :192:  :008:

Oh dear, you guys don't like black bikes...

You definitely won't like my other bike then!

Oh, but I do like it......very,very much. For that reason I’ve been steering well clear of Triumph dealers just in case I give in and buy one.

Know what you mean neilb, I made the mistake of trying one. Its awesome! Now theres one in my garage next to the Mutley.

Don't think my wife is talking to me anymore.  :005: ... although you could say that's a win win!

If I get round to clearing the Pan out of the garage then the Thruxton is the only bike I would consider buying. I love the looks and the aura surrounding it. I went to test ride a Norton Commando some months before buying the MTS but my long legs wouldn’t fit the beautifully sculpted tank...it was definitely designed for the shorter-legged rider. Pity, as I still have a yearning for one....harking back to some 35 years ago when I had two Mk3 commandos.

Did you see Henry Cole's attempt to modify the new Commando in to a flat tracker (or something) on The Motorcycle show? I quite liked it especially the way he slimmed down the look of the tank  :029:
