Hello and welcome to the site.  Know a couple of H/S owners and they really enjoy their bikes but from what they say and how they use them I would think that if you have a test ride you’ll find the 950 does it all and a bit more 👍🏻

My 6th DUCATI, is my only one now. I Ride it since May ‘16. And love it most over my previous ones: SS750 Nuda, ST2, Monster 1000i.e., Monster S2R 1000 & Monster 796.

Took a short testride on the MTS 950 last year. It’s more comfortable to ride, it’s front is amazing to look at and the torque is slightly better than my HS821... , but it’s a bit heavier, bigger (more fuel capacity though), with a higher pricetag.
Other things are similar.

The main difference is the steering: the HS is really like a supermoto, the MTS not! Especialy in short curves I like my HS... for now!
