My first ride on my MTS 950 - Indian monsoon season

    Dear members,

Posting pictures of my first ride on my Multistrada 950. I took delivery of this bike last week after a long wait because I had ordered the Bike with spoked wheels and the shipment of the same got delayed excessively from Ducati.
The other bike is a Versys 650 of my friend who joined me for this ride.

By the way, I am not able to see these pictures that I post unless I am on a VPN. I tried to debug, and it seems that the CloudFlare CDN's settings are configured to block access from my country. Could the moderators help?

Thanks for the pictures. It's heartening to see the Multi kitted up for enduro, and then to see the paths it takes, when offered.

The ride looked like a lot of fun!

It sure was! I see that you're from Canada - the friend who accompanied me on this ride is an expat living here who is a citizen of Canada. He's been here only for 2 years and he's having a great time on his Versys!.

Perfect roads for the bike IMHO  :305:

How did it handle? What ride mode did you use? How long did you have to wait for the Versys to catch up  :008:
Anything more than two wheels is unnecessary.

It handled really well on the highways and trails. However, when it hits wet clay, the stock Pirelli Scorpion Trail II tyres on this bike loses traction completely. It almost pushed me off the bike once, and I managed to get it going. I was on Touring mode throughout - probably a mistake - I guess I should have been on enduro mode. I didn't use the rear brake much, probably another mistake - I should get used to using the rear brake more. Partly because I come from riding a KTM RC 390, my right leg is way too above for the rear brake pedal (I like this configuration, however), just that I need to get used to using it.

I said bye bye to the the Versys 650 on the highway stretch back home - I know there isn't a question of keeping up. I would ride and wait for a minute or two somewhere and that would show up :D

The entire GPX tracks here, if you are interested

n.ragav the route looks fun, most envious. I would imagine the multi was awesome. Being a Brit the best I have done is a Royal Enfield in India for a couple of days road only while visiting.
