    H11 LED

    Hi All:

Has anyone come across a H11 LED headlight bulb that is explicitly stated as road legal. I see lots that mention fog light or not road legal or for off-road use only.
    Kind Regards,
    Wethogs

I believe there is a European law, stating that you may only fit bulbs made for your headlight. So if the headlight says halogen, you are not allowed to fit something else. But, I have h11 leds for 4000 KM now. Been in Austria Germany and Netherlands.  No complains from car drivers about blinding. Not stopped by police (seen quite some)   Seems they do not care if your headlight adjustment is corrrect.

Hi Martin M not sure  if it is law . I believe they tried to pass a law that replacements had to effectively be OEM , but I do not think it was ever passed. Effectively it meant you had to use the same make and model of sparking plugs for instance. No doubt someone will have a higher knowledge level than myself and confirm either way. I can only comment for UK

Which H11 LED bulb did you decide on? Also, did your bulb throw any error codes and did they require an anti flicker inline?

    Hi
    I bought it here: https://gegshop.nl/nl/rsv-mille-1998-03/100269-xenon-led-h4-h7-h11.html
    simple replacement.
There is a cable coming out of the H11 LED, with the H11 contra connector where you plug the original cable in.

    Works without any errors, etc.

The light which comes out if amazing, still very sharp, allows you to put the headlight in the right height adjustment.
I don't think it will fit in the High Beam, as the fork is in the way when you turn the steering totally to left or right.

    Best

    Martin

I have Cyclops Adventure H11 leds and they fit high beams or low beams, no issues using them.

So I did a TON of research on picking a bulb that’s canbus compatible, compact, without external drivers, water proof, and suitable for reflector housings. Ended up going with the 30 watt Techmax bulbs that have CREE diodes. They are plug and play, throw a clean spread pattern with no glare after adjusting the hotspots and cutoffs. So far I’m really, really impressed. Was willing to spend $200.00-ish  on bulbs to meet my requirements and the bonus was they were $38. Massive improvement over stock.

Excuse the state of my bike ... I just installed these H11 LEDs...

I initially was struggling trying to disconnect the grey part of the connector .. not the black part - which is a lot easier.

I can now see that the LED parking lights seem to be more yellow to match the standard lights ... I wonder if it's possible to change these as well?
No instructions mentioned in the manual... any ideas?
