    New tires same pressure ???

    Hi guys,

next Saturday I'm changing tires, I'm going in the front for a Pilot Road 5 Trail and at the back a high performance tire ( the Pilot Power 2 CT) an old tire but still good quality/Price. Why this and not a match between Front and rear???

Just because I want to unmatch the ware of the tires, so in the next 8.000miles probably I'm changing the rear tire, and only then i put the Pilot road 5 in the rear, and with this procedure, I expect to change one tire at a time, and not the 2 tire at the same time, as our bike ware out the front and the back tire at the same time.(at least with my driving)

Now my question is, these tires in a sport bike that is more lighter, uses 2,5 bar in the front and 2,9 in the back. Our MTS is a bit more heavier should I go for the numbers in the manual (scorpion trainl 2) or should I use same pressure as a sport bike ???

My doubt is more concerning the rear tire, as it's going to be a high performance tire and there for more weight and less pressure, just don't fill right. :086:

    Hi there,

I´ve the same combination on my multi 950 and its great for steering and cornering. I used the original pressure from the Pirelli Scorpions for these tyres aswell without any problem. Yes the rear is cheap and i´ve done 3300 miles with this tyre wich is now worn. I also ordered an Road 5 rear tyre now to see if its worth the extra cost in return to more miles and if its as good as the PP2CT, if not i´m going for the Pilot Power CT2 again after the road 5 is worn.

    Regards,

    Vlerk

NIce to ear that, I wrote 8000Miles but I was thinking in KMs  :015: , yours warn out very fast, this tire PPower 2ct, should do about 5000miles (8000Kms) - do you use it on Highways ??

I also after warn the pp2ct, I will go to the more expensive PR5, but for the info that goes around internet it is a tire to make much more miles I'll guess in our bikes about 8k to 10k miles - it will depend on the throttle  :002:
