Royal Enfield meets Triumph

Hi all,

Neilb and Wassers met up yesterday at a pub in St Albans for a pub lunch, a good natter and to introduce our 2nd bikes (non Ducatis!) to each other.

I think they got on very well together!...










The bikes attracted a lot of attention and conversations with passers by.

Mixed weather on the day.... but it is October! Started off by having to ride through some very wet and slippy country lanes including riding (gently!) through 2 complete road floods!...  but the weather improved for a nice sunny ride back home. A superb day and great to catch up with Neilb.

Yes, they make a lovely couple.....the bikes, that is! Excellent piccies, mate, and great to catch up.

Doesn't it feel like your bum is dragging on the floor on those things after the MTS950. I recently had a go on a Monster 797 and it felt so low - but incredibly agile

Yep, that's the fun of having a 2nd bike, they must be totally different in every way.

The Thruxton R does feel small, light and agile - and the riding position is very different being a cafe racer. Its also brilliant for commuting in clogged up London. Goes through gaps I couldn't attempt on the Multi.

Absolutely love both bikes though. and feel very lucky to have 2 fabulous bikes in the garage.
