    Wet/curb weight

    Folks
I just put my 950 on a public weighbridge yesterday, Ride ready with tool kit, GPS ,100 % full tank etc , NO luggage. The weighbridge is calibrated ,electronic and  accredited etc. The readout was 250KGS  . I was not expecting that!! The manual says  overall weight in running order ,with 90% fuel load = 227 kgs.  I have a centre stand  ,the wire spoke wheels etc ,but 23 kgs?  interested to know if anybody else has weighed their bike?

Interesting result. I can guess that the spoked wheels might weigh more than the alloys and the centre stand might add a couple of kilos but that's a lot. Where i keep my bike I have to do a lot of manhandling of it and I know on the slight upward slope that it seems to weigh an awful lot. I've never thought to weigh it; something to think about when I get home.

that is food for thought. I have always felt that the multi weighs more that the book says and it would be interesting if any other multi owners can weigh theirs just to see.

I thought the Multi would weigh in much lower. Don't Ducati give 205kg as the dry weight. I'll find my nearest weighbridge tomorrow. Mind you, that's still an awful lot less than the Pan I rode for 6 years.

Edit: I've just found one around the corner from my dealer in Romford, who I'm visiting tomorrow.

I wonder whether a weighbridge is going to be accurate at such a low weight - they can weigh several tons so perhaps it's not surprising it's not so accurate at the "light weight" end of the spectrum.  I'm no expert, just don't want to believe 250Kg.....very heavy petrol you have in your Mutley  :008:
