    Performance Exhaust

Does anyone have the skinny on performance exhaust, mapping kit, and or suggestions.
The Termignoni is $1300.00USD and only claims to improve the sound.  Also it does not mention anything about mapping.
Any performance Guru's on the forum?   :261:

I would wait on that until the factory warranty is up. Talked to my dealer and he said as of now a full 950 system isn't supported with warranty friendly remaps. He stated Ducati more than likely won't honor any warranty issues they could blame on the system and remap. Plus they will charge you to reload the stock map every time you take the bike in for maintenance. To buy me some time I drilled out the exhaust valve and plan to open up the cat and have it re-welded until the warranty is up.

I really just can't see the point
The standard exhaust sounds great I would use the 1k to have a few trips away

Couldn't agree more - sounds great as it is - why spend the money?  The only thing that may well be worth doing is having the standard fuel maps optimised on a dyno in real time.  In the good old days, you would go to a carb specialist for re-jetting / tuning - these days it's all about laptops and OBDII connectors, but it does make a big difference. My MT-09 Tracer could be left in A or Sport mode all the time, with none of the snatchiness it had prior to the re-map.  So in short, if I went down the re-map route it would only be to smooth out the standard fuelling curve to improve rideability / and possibly economy - not bothered about more power.

I think we need to keep the Exhaust sound level is low. To much high sound will damage hearing so everybody needs to know about it very well.
