Hot Seat or Hot Bike

I took delivery of my bike this winter, and have been ridding in the very cold  28 degrees to 48 degrees (the old system).   Thinking what a great bike to ride in the cold, I was never cold in the seat.  Yesterday it was 58 degrees out.  I rode about 2 hours, and pushed the bike with most riding at 7000rpm.   I noticed that my seat was very warm almost hot.   Has the heat from the engine been an issue for anyone in the summer ridding season? 
I did 1800 miles this past summer in the French Alps on a 2018 MTS 950 rental.  The only day I had a hot seat and legs was in Nice in bumper to bumper traffic on the freeway.  That was hot and very noticeable and discomforting. 

Hot bike or Hot Seat?   For me cant seem to stay off it,  I am addicted to it,  so a hot bike yes, with a hot seat.

Yes, it does get hot when crawling in traffic but for the most part you’re going to be steering clear of that. It’s not really any better or worse than any other bike I’ve ridden. The Pans I rode for almost 6 years could get very warm in summer traffic, maybe more so that the MTS. After all, you are sat astride a large internal combustion engine and the heat has to go somewhere. Just head for the open road and stay away from the cities.

The heat from the engine has never been an issue for me and I've ridden in +40°C. I have on occasion had a hot bum though. I've never managed to reason out why at a particular time it gets hot, it's rare and seems random but it can get quite uncomfortable

Well I will see how it goes as we get into the summer.   It was not an issue with my rental 950. 
Maybe I really noticed it because I have been experimenting with riding in extreme cold for me.   
In the past once the temp reached 48F / 9C it was to cold.   
Now if the sun is out 28F / -2, is not to cold for an hour ride.  ( without investing in heated gear and to many layers.)

Might be possible to put some aluminum or heat shield tape/insulation under the seat, kinda like throttlespacers has a kit for the panigale

Out today for about 1 hour and it was 72f .  Very nice, the seat warm, not terrible.  I felt heat along the inside of my calf, not terrible.  Once home i felt the frame that runs straight up from the foot peg on the right side, to the seat.  Was very hot, no burn to the skin on touch, but #### hot. 
I love this bike, hopefuuly the heat isue will grow on me.  The upside great winter ride. 😂😂😂

85f  today only did an hour.   It's not the seat it's the sides just below the seat.  Very fecking hot.   So much so I was standing and riding on straight aways with my legs open like wings to vent my thighs.   Seat does not get hot just the sides.
If the seat,  could be one good lawsuit after losing my fertility.     

Still smiling every mile.
Any recommendations for pants with inner thigh heat shielding.
Maybe there is a market here.   💀💀💀

I use the Dianese New Drake Air and they work very well.  The Kevlar/Aramide fabric seems to shield the heat well on the inside, and the front has a large thigh vent.  I also wear high boots and it seems to protect from the heat decently and the warmest I've ridden the MTS in 95*F.  As long as I'm moving I'm ok.  But stop and go traffic is really uncomfortable .  For comparison, I rode the bike one time to dealer in just jeans and thought "omg this thing get hot!"  Much worse than my Honda VFR.

Motorman,  well you should certainly know being in Texas.  Yes I have been trying to find pants that I like.  So great advise, will check them out. In jeans it hot.  I use Sidi canyon boots so I have not had any issue below the knees. Its all on the inner thighs.  The dam thing is so much fun its hard to be upset with it.  I have had 300 + mile days on it.

Would a bead seat cover help with breathing? I bet it would. 

I don't like hearing about the heat but if it isn't a problem while up and running then it isn't a problem.  Stuck in traffic all bikes get hot.
