Lots of vehicles being hit from behind!

My worst fear when out on the bike is being hit from the rear when stationary in traffic. So here is a good tip... whenever you have to stop in traffic, always leave plenty of space between you and the car in front and keep a little bit to the side. Visualise where your escape route would be if you see a problem looming behind you to quickly move out of harms way - and keep glancing in your mirrors checking out whats happening behind you.

Too many bikers get into a bad habit of stopping and waiting right behind a car, leaving you no escape route if the worst should happen.

On your next ride out, start trying to build this in whenever you have to stop in built up traffic.
