    Dear all

Has anyone fitted a mivv decat pipe? Will accept standard silencer, my local tuning Dyno guru says Woolwich tuning software can interface with the ECU to reprogramme it, thinking of tuning the 950 up.

If you’re happy to pump out more pollutants; Hydrocarbons, Carbon monoxide and Nitrogen oxides, into the atmosphere in search for a few more more bhp, then that is your choice. Not something I would do nowadays.

Yeah that's true, good shout, not really. It would be the sound I am after really but the bike is pretty loud already. The original manufacturer design is normally very good these days. I was more curious as to the gains people have achieved, I am pretty sure the motor is already in a high state of tune.

Nobody on the forum has, to my knowledge, removed the cat. A few may have replaced the end can, but as you say, the stock can has plenty of good sound. Ducati are probably the best when it comes to designing their exhaust systems. As for power, I find the Testrastretta 937 engine a gem, a motor that can be used to the max, unlike the 1260 which felt harsh until it reached the higher rev band, by which time I was at license-losing speeds.

    Hi Neil

I must admit I love the engine, I have come from a Suzuki gsxs1000f which like the 1260 was bonkers and due to the rev happy nature of the gsxr k5 derived engine meant you were soon up to stupid speeds, hence I got rid and bought the 950 which is much more fun at sensible speeds and the wife is comfy on the back, happy daze 🤣

I have this termignoni race muffler and it stays very near the turn light, and about 10cm lower, probably this guy was riding with a passenger and a lot of luggage on a highway and this was the cause of it.

Or maybe he didn't tuned the spring for the excess weight. who knows  :016: :015:
