    DE-Cat pipe with original muffler

    Hi guys,

just install a decat pipe from delkevic (UK) with the original muffler.

    pros:
    # better response at lower revs, less valve hit at lower revs
    cons:
    # too loud for me... probably if I had 20years old, I would enjoy the raw sound of the 2 ducati cilinders🤗🤗
    # lost of torque at mid revs, removing the exhaust valve you lose back pressure, you don't notice if you rev from a 1st or a 2nd gear, but if you rev it,  for exemple, a 4th gear. between the 4.000 rpm and the 7.000 rpm,  you will notice lost of torque.

next tunning for this topic is:
    # change the original muffler and put a 370 to 470mm oem muffler to:
              -  get that lost torque at mid revs
              -  decrease the loudness to something less agressive (and more bass on it).

    I'll keep in touch  :028:

    hey! nice work!
can you tell me what pipes did you install?
I want to make the same project as you did but wherever i asked they told  me that i will need a new ecu tuning (remapping) for the bike to be working normal and to avoid any possible future problems with the engine. this i could make it either with remapping the same ecu or with a power commander.
Also it might be make the noise not so loud.
Didn't they told you something like that?

This pipes are from delkevic (UK) but they don't connect to the original Muffler so I have to adapt.

delkevic say that you dont need to do fuel re-map.

The Mivv pipe its like Delkevic, for the price, go for delkevik (half the price, same pipe design). If Mivv pipe fits the original muffler, you can consider it, as the hand made welder is a bit expensive.

Just to Know, I'm going to sell my Delkevick pipes with the hand made pipe to fit in the original muffler, because to adapt to other muffler to reduce noise, I have to make more adjusts.

So, I lost my mind and bought the complete termignoni multistarda de-cat with the titanium muffler and hoping for a suitable 94db.

    regards ;)

i had contact with mivv and ask them about the de cat pipes. i paste the answer that they sent me.

    "Hello
Our no kat pipe fits also with the stock exhaust. Generally it is not necessary to modify the bike set up. However, for some models and especially in case of complete systems or no kat pipes, it could be possible that the tuning is not optimal after their installation. This is unfortunately not foreseeable in advance . If necessary, the remapping of the control unit, the use of an additional control unit with a specific map or the installation of an after market filter will certainly improve the delivery and in general the performance of the vehicle.
    "

the full termi costs a fortune for me!

It is somewhat ambiguous response of the MIVV...

Yes, the Termignoni is a lot of money, I have a contact of mine and it is going to be for $1200 less expensive comparing with the OEM silencer (+/-$600) which is pure aesthetically and with the tubes you really feel a strong power delivery.

Yes that is was my first thought too!
I also sent a mail to sc project and they told me that they are planning to make an exhaust for our bike after this season.
i am a little confused on what decision to make..  :157:
