    Rusty exhaust

    Hi All

I have a feeling that this topic has been discussed before but I have noticed that the Multi does seem to suffer from a problem with rusty headers and exhaust boxes.
In have seen a number of second hand 950 machines around and they all seem to suffer. In my view it really spoils the look of the bike and I am wondering what options there may be out there.
I have seen somewhere a guy who had his whole system ceramic coated which seems like a great idea but would this invalidate any warranty.
As it happens there is a company locally to me that offer this service and whilst it might be £250.00 - £300.00 quid it might be worth it?
Like i say, this may have been covered before but I would be interested to hear any views / opinions.

    Many thanks

Harpic X10 bleach every few months works wonders. Quick and easy, but it is a pain that it rusts up at all on what is a premium bike.

    Ok ta.

Will see how it goes over first few months.
I am a bit sad when it comes to cleaning bikes, cars etc.

I agree that it seems odd given the otherwise superb fit and finish of the bike.

Does anyone know what the headers are made from? Is it Stainless Steel or regular Steel? Thanks!

I asked him because I said it was the only ugly part of the bike and what could I do. He said never touch it with anything abrasive like wire wool, just use a metal cleaner .
