Look up Shad Cases, they are good quality and way cheaper. I had them on my Honda and was fully satisfied with them. Now they have the 23 Liter models which are much slimmer than the 36L if you don't need that much capacity and don't want to store a full face helmet inside.

    Cheers! Brian

One more on the Shad. I instaled the panniers and later the topcase, both nice and the 'frame' is a simple 'L' which does not look bad at bike.

I appreciate the Ducati cases are exorbitant and I'm sure the cheaper alternatives do the job equally well from a practical perspective. BUT any sort of side rack when the panniers are not mounted just ruins the look of a gorgeous looking bike. For that reason alone the OEM option is worth it for me. It was also why I made sure I found a 'touring' version when I bought mine so I didn't have to buy panniers as an expensive accessory afterwards. Easier to get a deal on the original purchase than on subsequent accessories.
    Life is not a rehearsal . . .

Thank you so much, I should have thought about this before I made my mind. However, I love this bike and I am willing to put the effort to find a better panniers

I don't mind the Shed products but they don't look appealing to me, it takes away the gorgeousness of the motorcycle
