    Good bye

    Hi All
It is with sad regret that I have decided to sell my Multi early.
There are several reasons for this
1st the gearbox had to be repack at 7000 miles it started to make a noise on the road test after its first service ( it seemed fine to me before hand)

Poor treatment by the dealer concerned. No offer of a loan bike. I had to borrow my Sons Tiger so I could go on a planned and payed for trip to Scotland. This saw me out of pocket due to insurance and tyres.

When I went to collect the bike 4 weeks later, they presented me with the bill for the original service.

The Tiger was silky smooth in comparison and actually had a back brake that did something.
Lastly and most importantly I just can’t get comfortable on the seat despite trying air hawks and the comfort seat.

This was my first Ducati and sadly my last. I’m off back to Triumph which is a shame. I love the engine and the power delivery from the bike.

I will be stripping off some extras and will post them for sale at the weekend

Shame as it’s one sexy bike 😀

Yes as Julian says it's a brilliant bike and from my point of it's a keeper but saying that I know how you feel, I had a BMW Gs years ago it had three final drives and new  alternator fitted  and plenty of rust all sorted in the end with £700 compensation as a gesture of good will ! But I must admit it leaves a bad taste, so good luck with your next purchase and ride safe!👍

I’m gutted to be honest. I wanted a bike to keep for a few years but I just don’t feel I can trust it.

Manly down to comfort and I can’t see anyway round it.

Re comfort the only problem I had was bars were to low, fitted 30mm risers which sorted it the seat I find plush enough for me? What's your problem?

Not nice! I suffered from that about ten years ago,  went to a physio and got rid of the BMW and the problem went away...........just a thought :028:

I’ve been having massages and exercises also a special seat at work.

I had a similar problem on a tiger a few years ago. Bought a Touratech seat with a coccyx cut out end of problem. They don’t do one for the 950.

Hey, sorry to hear your troubles. I moved onto a 950 from the Tiger and so far very happy, hopefully it stays that way  :002:

But one thing that would be great to shed some light on, can you describe the noise you experienced after your first service?

    Cheers
