Hi all,
I'm off on a trip to France next week and have been thinking of a way to add a bit more security for my Kriega US-30 soft luggage which, as usual, will be strapped on to the back seat.
I discovered Kriega make a security strap for their panniers and I thought I could do something similar.
Below is how the security strap is designed to be used.

So I decided to lay the security strap under the seat (so its secure) as follows

I squeezed the bag and security strap as tight as possible and then locked it in place (the security strap comes with a weather proof clasp, lock and key).

With any luck I reckon this should deter the opportunist thief and I will now feel a bit more comfortable when leaving my bag on the bike for short periods of time, eg nipping to the loo, grabbing a coffee, stopping for gas etc.
The security strap is £29. Well worth the investment for a bit of peace of mind IMO.
