    Hi, all
Just bought a 950S (ex demo) from Ducati Glasgow, great service by the way. Down sized from a 1200 GS and loving it so far, waiting on a lower seat as the standard seat is a touch too high.
Been riding for 46 years, and used to own various Moto Guzzis, but as above this is my first Ducati., primarily for touring and club runs .
    Let the farkling begin  :001: :001: :001:

:400: To the forum........ as someone that has had all three of the genuine seats, the "lowered" seat is not any lower than the standard or comfort seat, the frame is exactly the same with the only difference being the amount of foam in the middle, so the "lowered" seat is flat in the middle as very little foam & is like sitting on a plank of wood, where as the other 2 seats have a slightly rounded top

obviously the sales man won't tell you this as they want a sale :028:

Yea , I did sit on "lower" seated 950 and was only checking out the footing situation, padding comfort will only show up after prolonged use :003:

Anything more than two wheels is unnecessary.

I had the same problem and after warnings of the uncomfortable lower seat I went for lowering the suspension on my 950 - I assume similar can be done on the 950S. It involves fitting a revised spacer at the end of the shock unit and lowering the forks through the yokes to maintain overall balance. I also had the sidestand shortened by 15mm to maintain the lean angle when on the stand. I'm very happy with the result.
    Life is not a rehearsal . . .
